Had a great meal last night at Mi Lindo Yucatan on 24th Street (bt Noe/Castro). Arrived at 7:45 and there were only three empty tables. Had never been to the Valencia St. location but read about it much on chowhound. Nice atmosphere -- bright, colorful, sunny. We started with two tostadas to share: one with chicken, black bean puree, lettuce, onions, tomato and avocado ($2.50), the other a ceviche (shrimp, cilantro, onion & tomato ($3.75). Both were terrific; the flavor of each ingredient came through. For entrees, I had the cochinita pibil (roasted pork, banana leaves with achiote - $8.25) - delicious tucked into their tasty tortillas. Friend had the poc-chuc (grilled pork w/black beans, grilled onions & salsa - $8.75) and it was also very good. I think I'd order this on my next visit. All this plus two Pacificos for just $30 before tip. Can't wait to go back.
P.S. The table next to us ordered what looked like the appetizer sampler (tamales, panuchos, calbutes, flautas, chilindrinas, empanadas and polcanes - $12.75) and they had to take their entrees to go.
