Eight of us ate at Mezze on Lakeshore tonight. Only one had been there before. We all were impressed with our food. The herb bread was great. Ceasar salad with pita chips and sundried tomatoes, tuna, seafood in a curry broth, non traditional gumbo for starters, all wonderful. Then there was duck, mushroom ravioli, beef filet, trout, lamb, Tuna, and a chicken dish for our main courses. Then we went to dessert: bread pudding, creme brulee, and a chocolate wonderful thing. We are close friends and the plates were moving back and forth across the table all through the meal. We shared everything. All was perfection with great service. Beautiful presentation. We all had at least one glass of wine, half had dessert and the bill was $490 with tax and tip for 8 people.

A lovely evening.
