Mexico City - traveling with toddler and looking for great food in vibrant settings

waxyjax | Jan 8, 201907:18 AM     2

Hi! My husband and I are planning a trip to DF and will be taking our 3 year old daughter. I'd only been once before - but it was a work trip so didn't have much time to explore :(

We love Mexican food and are adventurous eaters. To make sure our daughter doesn't get too restless and squirmy, we'd like to go to places that will have plenty of stimulation - whether it has a beautiful atmosphere, friendly people or music. Open to any kind of place - from splurgy restaurants to food stands.

Dulce Patria is on our list, since it sounds like a child's dream. I'd also like to go back to Contramar and try to get an outdoor table where the people watching will be fun. Wandering La Merced and taking a boat ride at Xochimilco are also must-dos for us.

I had also read about how there are air gondolas across certain parts of the city. I'd love to take a ride in one, if there are specific food destinations near one of those routes.

Lastly, our daughter is a night owl - so any fun places for cena, especially if there's a fun food market that's open late, would be up our alley.

Thanks!
