Wow I'm really confused about the new site, so I hope I'm doing this right.
I'm posting for my parents because they're not very good with computers. They'll be spending two weeks in Mexico with time split between between Mexico City, Puebla City, and Oaxaca City. They'll be spending the most amount of nights in Mexico City.
They're looking for moderately priced restaurants, but they do have some food restrictions. My father will eat pretty much anything, but my mother is on a strict diet due to some recent medical issues and is concerned about her trip.
She can't eat wheat, rice, or corn. Proteins are also fairly limited- no chicken, beef or pork, but she is fine with all seafood and any other poultry plus lamb. These aren't sensitivities that cause immediate or life threatening reactions, but she doesn't want to end up sick on vacation.
Typing that list made me realize this may be quite an issue, but she is fine with not having a lot of options as long as there is an option.
Otherwise, they'd like to do their best to experience regional cuisine. They will have a car except for their time in Mexico City, but they are willing to travel via taxi or public transportation.
