Mexican in the South Slope

Is it just my imagination or does Tacos Nuevo Mexico cook up some of better tacos this side of the Mississippi? I have traveled to the Left Coast and Southwest and have always found the Mexican food there to be superior, or at least a bit more authentic than what was found back home on the East Coast. I am not one who goes out of my way to eat Mexican food in NYC, but have had my fair share and have found the Manhattan Mexican restaurants to be either mediocre or overpriced - very often both! Not a huge fan of the LA style burrito, which is what many of the NY Mexican takeouts specialize in. Tacos Nuevo Mexico at 489-491 5th Ave in Brooklyn (718-832-0050) seems to be more authentic than other NYC Mexicans that I have tried. Their tacos are not served with sour cream or shredded government cheese, for instance. I simply found the tacos to be extemely tasty and price wise very reasonable. Also loved their (somewhat) mild green sauce. Anyone know of any other good dishes this place serves up? How are their Huevos Rancheros for instance? Thanks in advance!
