Mexican in Port Chester - new place

Ate at a new mexican place in port chester today. I think it was called Luis' Mexican (or something like that) on the corner of the Boston Post Road and Willow St. (across from the Willow GMC dealership/shop). In back of the big front room with tables - sort of around the corner - is the food counter.

The place is a pretty typical small taco joint - I think they sell other stuff there, but there isn't a menu anywhere and that was all I saw anybody ordering. If nothing else, you can't fault the place for a lack of authenticity. It's true Mexican, even down to the guy behind the counter peeling the skin of the big cow tongue he'd just cooked. I only sampled two tacos - carnitas and chorizo. They were OK, but not great. The carnitas didn't have that good rich flavor that it should have. Chorizo was pretty good, though. The salsa rojo had some real heat to it, and the salsa verde was also really good.

Has anyone else been there? I'd be curious to get feedback on other things they serve. Hopefully there are some really good finds there.

Also, I've always noticed this other little place on the main drag, just before Midland Ave. It says it is a pizza place, but underneath it says it serves mexican food. I saw a hand-written sign saying that they were serving a bunch of tacos, including barbacoa. I'd be really curious to know if anyone has tried it. Finding good barbacoa would be awesome.

Anyhow, any feedback would be great...
