Mexican on Myrtle

DWM | May 5, 2002 03:04 PM

Having tried recommended Mexican restaurants from Greenpoint Ave to Sunset Park we have found mostly over priced main dishes ,usually consisting of a shriveled chicken leg, or spicey baby food scouped from the steam table. So with more realistic expectations I found that a near by place called Mi Ranchito at
568 Myrtle near Classon Ave. has some very good cooking. First off it is clean. After eating there for about four years it has been very consistent and unbelievably reasonable. They are known for their Mole, soups, seafood specials, enchiladas verde, super taco, and a burrito that you almost can't finish. The food is actually cooked to order rather than the usual thrown together fare.
