I am going to try my hand at a few different mole sauces for Thanksgiving and need to re-stock my Mexican supplies. 2 questions: 1) Most of my dried peppers were bought last winter - are they still good? (I know they're dried, but . . ) 2) I've can't remember which store I went to, maybe 2400 s. Western. (It was not a Del Ray.) Any other location suggestions for English-only speaker? 3) What is the spanish word for real (not in bricks or buckets or hydrogenated (sp?) lard? What form will a butcher give it to me in? Or how do I ask for the meat to make my own lard?
