I am having a family reunion in Escondido/San Marcos in March, and am
looking for lunch/dinner that is good for a 17-person group, and has good food.
The problem is that most of what I'm seeing is Mexican, and I get plenty
of that as I live in the Southwest. We'll have 5 kids with us (including 2 toddlers),
so family friendliness would be really nice (eg, in my dream scenario there is
a patio or somewhere kids can run around without annoying people or getting hit by a car).
I was initially thinking Stone Brewery, but I've read some mixed reviews on service as well as the food. Hacienda de Vega gets a lot of love here, but that's Mexican so it's out.
Please help, wise Chowhounds! Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
tl;dr I'm looking for a Escondido / San Marcos restaurant:
- Good for 17-person group
- Good food; not Mexican
- Family friendly is a bonus
