I went down to the farmer's market at Airline drive with my friend Alex. We had lunch there, in a little hole-in-the-wall, family-run affair called "Taqueria el Mercado", I think. Actually, I think the taqueria really is an old shipping container.
We each had two beef tacos, with salsa and guacamole, which was phenomenally cheap and good: fresh ingredients, warm, beef was juicy and full of flavor. We then followed this up with a burrito, which i cannot remember what was inside, and I bought a torta that was pretty good as well.
You can't go too far wrong with the basics right: fresh ingredients, and served straight from the stove.
The whole thing came to less than $12 for the both of us. Pretty good deal, and the food is definitely authentic. The only thing is, I'm not sure if they speak English...
