My fiancee and I are in the midst of choosing a wedding reception location. We're weighing two good options (one in Santa Barbara and the other in the Palm Springs area); but it's going to be the food prospects that decide between them.
Both are a hacienda courtyard settings; we just need some solid Mexican food to seal the deal. We're thinking marinated carne asada, chicken, maybe fish, (even better if they could BBQ it on-site!), carnitas, served with homemade torillas, beans, rice and all the fixins. Something creative (read: Nuevo Latino) would be appreciated, but down-home is just fine too. My family is Mexican, so a touristy place won't cut it.
Anyone have any suggestions?
