Made a point of eating at the San Rafael location (saw one in Santa Rosa as well...any others?) after coming across the Roadfood review.
I went with the Cajun burger sans those nasty green bell peppers. Ordered it rare, and that is what I got. Dripping with cheese, sauteed onions, jalapeños, meat juice and a mild sauce with Tabasco in the background.
And that made for plenty of yummy glop to scoop up with the oh so crisp onion rings.
Business will have me back in the area at least once a year, and Phyllis' will most definitely be in the rotation.
