At your suggestion, I picked up some donuts on Saturday from the North African place on Frederick Douglass and 117/118. Awesome! I felt like calling everyone I know to tell them about this place! What is spectacular is that those cream-filled doughnuts are just the right sweetness, not cloying, and not greasy either. The coffee was also very good. Just wanted to give you a public thank you for pointing it out. I also tried the similarly-fried dough balls (don't know what they're called) made without filling (they have crullers like that too) which were equally amazing, and perfect for dunking. Next time, I'm gonna check out the crepes.

So for those of you who might be up that way, go! [we all know it's always a good sign when lots of cabbies are doubleparked somewhere]
