Mermaid Inn or AquaGrill?

bostonbeefeater | Nov 24, 201408:23 PM     16

My wife and I are in the city for her birthday. I want to take her to a good seafood restaurant. Not too pricey or fancy. We are traveling and I just don’t want us to have to schlep fine dining attire with us. I am looking for good quality seafood in a nice relaxed atmosphere. We are both foodies and love good food and high end restaurants, I just don’t want to go that route for this birthday. We are happiest when the food is good down to earth eating, the service is excellent, and the cocktails are creative with a nice laid back atmosphere.

Do you recommend AquaGrill or Mermaid Inn UWS? I’ve done a fair amount of searching on the board and keep coming back to these two restaurants. Thoughts, pros, cons, editorials?

Thank you from a Boston foodie
