Menu changes at China Star

I dragged my husband and a friend there this evening, and discovered that the menu has changed beyond just dropping the dim sum-type appetizers.

The appetizer list has been dramatically shortened, from 25 (plus another 17 dim sum items) to 7. None of the vegetable/tofu appetizers remain.

There are still six soups on the regular menu, but only two of them (beef stew with turnip and crab meat with asparagus) are carryovers from the previous menu.

The entrees are also pared down quite a bit - Shen City rabbit, beef stew in hot pot, and Spicy Emperor Duck are still available. Chen Cang beef and Country Young Chicken are gone.

Unfortunately I didn't try the conch slices from the specials menu, so that mystery remains. I did order the salt & pepper shrimp from the specials menu, which practically had me licking the serving platter clean.
