New Menu at Casa Maya

jhopp217 | May 27, 2008 06:41 PM

I ate at Casa Maya tonight and noticed they have changed the menu. It's now one big laminated page with lunch on one side and dinner on the other. A few things I liked were missing, inlcuding the mexican pizza. My girlfriend and I were a little annoyed when she noticed they didn't have her spinach burrito on the dinner menu. She ordered it anyway and got it the way she likes it. We ordered the flautas for an appetizer and the meat inside (shredded pork and sausage) was absolutely wonderful. I had the Conchinita (probably spelled that wrong) Pibil - shredded pork served with refried black beans and rice. The pork was good, but on the salty side, and the black beans were a little too pasty for my liking. We had two margaritas and no dessert. The margaritas were fair at best. I like Casa Maya, but I think it's definitely being surpassed by just about every other Mexican place around (with the exception of Blue Moon). And at $55 + $15 tip, a little pricey for what we got.
