Memphis Italian

If you're in Memphis and feel like Italian head downtown. CONTE opened for lunch last fall and is now open for dinner. Pam Conte is an Italian from Brooklyn and her food is by far the best Italian Memphis has ever seen. Don't go in a hurry. It's all made to order. The sauces are all made from scratch on the premises. She makes sausages and meatballs once a week just like she did growing up. And she ships in the raviolis and manicotti from Brooklyn. We haven't had anything that wasn't superb. Chicken, Veal, Eggplant, Shrimp, Mussels and it's a special but if she has Vodka Sauce when you go...don't miss it...OH MY!!!

It's located downtown on Madison just east of Main where Cupboard Too once was. The decor is just like walking into a family Italian in Brooklyn or Queens. Pam and her son will make you happy.
