Memories of Food with your kids

I mean this post with no offense intended to folks without kids. Perhaps because my youngest child is off to Montana to college in August, I've become more nostalgic than usual?

I have wonderful food memories with my son including:

Breakfast:
Cooking hot Italian sausage, potatoes, onions, and peppers in olive oil with oregano. Ben would pick out the sausage and I would eat the rest.

Lunch:
Going to Kam's on Balboa Street (in San Francisco) on Saturdays and getting Kam's Yee Won Ton Soup. It's like a wor won ton soup with lots of meat, veggies, and fried won ton. He would eat the won tons and I would eat the rest.

Dinner:
He was still in a high chair and my wife would brown fideo pasta in butter and add rice and chix broth. We had to put a sheet down under his high chair he made such a mess, but he ate tons of Mom's Rice Pilaf.

Going out in the back yard and picking fresh mint and oregano and making marinated lamb shish kebabs. Or picking thyme, rosemary and chopping fresh garlic for pan sauteed, Dad's special chicken (which he now makes for himself).

Wonderful times together, enjoying food. Any special moments with your kids that you can share?
