After reading many postings about La Pupusa in JP, I finally decided to make the trek out there to see what it was all about. I tried as much as I could; pupusas, empanadas, etc. Everything was delicious, the price was right.... but the most memorable item that I ordered was the horchata.
I've had this rice drink at many other places, and they've usually been white with flecks of spices in it. But the horchata at La Pupusa was exceptionally dreamy; a bit thick-ish, and almost a light brown color. Is this how the drink is supposed to be?
And where else can I go for such a delicious concoction?
