Wanted to report an amazing meal at Melograno, though it seems redundant. If they have the sweet potato gnoochi special, it is not to be missed. The pesto was outrageous and simple at the same time. Easy to taste the fresh basil. Not alot of sweet potato flavor in the gnoochi, but enought sweetness to make the shrimp pop in contrast to the slightly salty pesto. We ate outside, so it was a bit dark, but I can imagine the color contrast would have been great.
Appetizers were great. I had my usual shrimp and white bean appetizer, which was sensational, and my husband had the roasted artichoke. Also great.
Dessert was a little disappointing. We had the molten chocolate cake. It was good, but no gush on the inside. Overall it was a little dry, and, I think, overcooked.
But to end on a positive, the food at Melograno never seems to disappoint.
