The last time we ate at this location it was a Mediterranean deli called Baba Ghannouj. The name has changed and Filipino dishes have been added to the menu. Instead of getting the buffet, we opted to share a plate of chicken adobo. We received a huge mound of chicken and rice. It came with one side. We chose the Greek salad which was a great foil for the adobo. Never having had chicken adobo, I won't add a critique other than to say we both enjoyed it and there was more than enough food for two. OK, some of the chicken pieces were a touch on the dry side, but that didn't keep us from practically licking the plate clean. A note on the clientele--the restaurant was filled to the brim with Filipinos which I guess can speak to the quality of the food better than I can.

The restaurant offers dishes such as lumpia, pancit, and ube (purple yam ice cream). I didn't feel I could take any of the two desserts on offer since I assumed they were part of the buffet, but I did snag a crumb of cassava cake from an empty platter and it was wonderful. We definitely plan a return visit, and I, for one, am getting dessert.
