Mediterranean Clay Pot Cooking - Wolfert cookbook

Hi there,

This is a slightly silly question, I know. I have been eyeing this book up (together with the her book on slow cooking). The recipes are more appealing in the Clay Pot cookbook than the slow cooking book. The only trouble is, I have only got a clay pot tajine. I read somewhere that Wolfert says you will need at least 6 separate clay pot vessels - I simply cannot buy this many! But I am also familiar with Wolfert and her somewhat strict attention to detail (It is partly why I love her books - I have her Food of Morocco and the Eastern Med. book).
As I am an amateur cook, I am not really aware of the benefits of cooking in a clay pot. Is it silly to buy the clay pot cookbook and use Dutch ovens etc to cook the recipes (Unless tajines) or would it be better off buying the Slow Med. Kitchen?

As a side note, which of the two books do people prefer generally?
