I've been meaning to post about these folks for a while - they're one of our favorites. Formerly known as Sahari, the menu is still basically Egyptian, but is a bit larger now with some nice redecoration. It's still small and focused enough that everything is consistently good.
Favorite dishes include the fuul medames, anything with eggplant (like the galia and baba ghanouge), and wonderful dolmas. But this is not to slight the lamb and chicken dishes which are also very good, or the fine hummus. When you're looking for a place where vegetarians and carnivores can both be happy, this is a top choice. And where else can you get om ali, Egyptian bread pudding? It's a special dessert so they don't always have it, but if they do you want to try some!
They're located in another anonymous Silicon Valley strip mall, this one on Fremont at the corner of Sunnyvale-Saratoga. You can get directions and more information at their web site.
Anybody else a fan of this place?
