Meatloaf recipe for the unadventurous?

ninrn | Oct 17, 201910:36 AM     60

I want to take a meatloaf over to neighbors I don’t know all that well. I have limited experience eating or making meatloaf, so I could use some tips and/or recipes. Their son tells me meatloaf is their favorite thing so long as it’s basic and all-American. They don’t like most vegetables, can’t tolerate most spices and herbs, and won’t eat anything remotely Asian. They don’t mind somewhat Southwestern flavors as long as they’re not spicy or complex.

Does anyone have a great, hearty but not too unusual meatloaf recipe that’s foolproof and holds up well to reheating? And what makes a meatloaf nice and moist? Breadcrumbs? Egg? Cheese? Ground pork?

Thanks very much,
ninrn
