Meat heavy & restriction friendly?

addiez | Jul 17, 201806:38 AM     13

Hi all,

I'm currently doing the Whole 30, an elimination diet that excludes dairy/grains/legumes/sugar/alcohol, and I'm tired of my own cooking. I generally avoid eating out when I'm doing diets like these because I know how annoying it is, but I need a break. Are there any restaurants you've found to be particularly accommodating? I'm happy to call ahead and anything else that makes it easier, but the dream would be finding a place that will offer something more interesting than a piece of chicken and a dressing-free salad - even a place that could have fun with this?

A lot of the typical places I'd suggest for someone like this (Myers + Chang, Blue Dragon) are out because they're so soy/legume and rice heavy. Top of the list right now is a steakhouse (baked potatoes and steak are pretty safe as long as they're without butter) but if anyone has any interesting ideas or places that would accommodate this well, I'd really appreciate it.

I could swear there was a thread relatively similar to this recently, but having a really hard time finding it. Sorry.

Thanks!

Blue Dragon
