Two meals at the new Bottega Fiorentina

Wife and I ate at the new BF on Newbury Street two nights in a row this week (lazy I guess).

Both dinners came to about $16 total. Unheard of for Newbury Street, even for takeout.

First night we had a fettucini bolognese and a gnocchi medici (tomatoes, cream, mushrooms, prosciutto).

The bolognese is pretty good: I've had better, but it's thick, meaty, and pretty straightforward. for $7.95 it's a satisfying meal. The gnocchi medici was ok, but the sauce was a bit on the salty side. Gnocchi are standard out of the package type.

Second night was much better: an excellent spaghetti carbonara, and a gnocchi with a gorgonzola and walnut sauce. Really enjoyed both of these: especially the carbonara, although it is not quite authentic.

Newbury Street is more chowish than ever these days!
