First meal at House of Prime Rib - YUM

I was afraid my expectations would be too high and I would be disappointed but it definitely lived up to my expectations and now that I've had some time to think about it, maybe exceeded my expectations in some ways. We had an enjoyable birthday dinner there last night with some friends and we all left stuffed, carrying our baked potatoes in a bag since we didn't have any room after the meat. I asked for my HOPR cut medium rare and it was so tender and a lovely dark pink in the center. There was a nice rim of fat and even a bone (which I had the decency not to gnaw on at the table though I really wanted to). I think I had the biggest piece at the table so I didn't get seconds but some of the guys did. I really liked the light eggy yorkshire pudding but I didn't really care for the licroice aftertaste of the creamed spinach. Haven't had the baked potato yet but it looked really good. It was a fun dining experience (from the tableside salad preparation to the cart full of meat) and I would definitely go back and recommend it to others if they like prime rib. Half of our party was really late and they were very nice in getting us seated even though we missed our original reservation time by quite a bit.
