Hands down was the Omakase at Soigne last night. There was a pretty in-depth review of last week's meal, so I'll just give a description:
1st course: sashimi halibut with black truffles and seaweed salad; drizzled with sesame oil; sriracha oil and fennel oil.
2nd course: potato and corn cakes with halibut; halibut puree with siraichi aioli; shrimp tempura
3rd course: miso marinated seared halibut served over lightly cooked kim chee with a miso butter sauce
4th course: calamari stuffed with halibut, garlic and scallions and coconut milk.
All I can say is Wow.
