We're going to Acadia for some Mid May camping/hiking/birding in about 10 days. We'll do a lot of dinners in the campsite but we'll be eating out a bit too. I checked the board but the MDI posts are from last summer or earlier. From those posts, I learned that it's Thurstons for Lobster (I took my my better half for her first lobster ever to the pound in Trenton just before you get on MDI about 28 years ago. We've been back a number of times, but we're prepared to try new things now). I also learned that Georges is where to go for something classier in Bar Harbor. Lastly, it's JPH for breakfast if it's too wet outside to make our own.
So for 2003, what else should we know? Anything new and exciting (or some real downhill stuff you should warn us about). For lunch we're into Fried Clams (especially clam bellies), any suggestions? Plus we'll be there for about 9 days and will do a little traveling both east and west in search of nice birds, rocks and flowers. So any great places along routes 1,3,172, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
