The latest in McDonald's premium salad offerings is a pure delight. The Asian Salad is wonderfully tasty, healthy, and visually exciting. The main ingredients are warm orange-glazed chicken breast, edamame (already peeled), plump mandarin oranges, snow peas, roasted red peppers, and crisp greens. The salad is accompanied by a small packet of Blue Diamond sliced & toasted almonds, and the dressing is Newman's Own All-Natural Low-Fat Sesame Ginger Dressing. I like this dressing a lot. Unlike the balsamic vinaigrette, the Sesame Ginger dressing is flavorful but not cloying. There's a few chili flakes mixed in to the dressing so your mouth feels alive but not on fire. I'm a real sucker for crispy chicken, but with this salad the grilled chicken is a better bet because it soaks up the warm orange glaze like white on rice and tastes like it's been marinating for hours. I think this is the best salad on the fast food market right now, and for $4.60, it can't be beat.
