McCormick & Schmidts: Location

Thanks to responses to my question re a pre-theater meal within walking distance of Broad and Chestnut we had a meal that all enjoyed tonight.

I ordered the pricey six oyster platter: one each of the oysters on the menu: tiny Netarts from PUdget Sound; Wareham
from Chatham, Snow Creek from L. I. Sound; Moonstone from Point Judith, RI; Wellfleet;Hama Hama
from Hood Canal Washington. For $14.90 I learned that I prefer the larger oysters by far, to the tiny ones! All were pristine, and my experiment was fun.

Crab cakes were lovely--no filler, lump crab, for $22.75. Hubby raved about the Roasted sweet pepper bisque ($280) and thought his landlubber choice of chicken breats with marsala mushrooms was just fine. ($16.95)

Shared one of the nice desserts; appreciated the ambience of the "clubby but classy" room, and the fact that we could hear each other talk despite the fact that the room was packed. NOt at all bad for a chain.

Picking a place to dine by location may not be ideal, but in this case it worked out just fine.
