Mazzaro's on 22nd Street is the BEST.
This is the Italian Stallion of all Italian Grocery Stores. Breads, 12 diffrenet Olives in bulk, great sandwiches (only $4.50 each), sausage and peppers, meatballs, 20 or so prepared cold dishes & a coffee bar. Plus, all the cheeses, proscuitto, sopressata, cappicola (many different brands including Citerio), pastas, and EVERYTHING ITALIAN).
It is better for take-out even though you can eat at the coffee bar. Only negative is they have a Great wine selection, but you cannot drink it in the store.
Anyone traveling south can stop by this place and never cook.
