Restaurants & Bars

I stand corrected from a previous email I wrote with regards to Maya going downhill. Went last Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised with the entire meal.

With the amt of people waiting at the bar for a table I expected our 9pm res was going to be more like 10, but once my coat was off we were being seated!

We sat in the back room which, still lively, was quieter than the rest of the place. The waiter was very friendly and took drink orders immediately. After our drinks arrived, he took our order (5 people ordering apps and entrees) by memory. Impressed!

The seafood chile relleanos (sp?)was the perfect mix of a charred open faced chile, creamy cheese, and fresh seafood and salsa.

The Tampiquena which was filet mignon with a jalapeno potato au gratin and a cheese and mole enchilada was a treat as well. The other winner entree was the chicken mole with plantains and cilantro rice.

Can't wait to go back!!!!!
