Just made up a batch of Maury's chocolate chip cookies from a log of premade refrigerator dough. Really really disappointing. They bake up flat, with an off musty/cheesey flavor. This is so disappointing. Did Maury Rubin (of City Bakery) just sell of his name to these guys without regard to their quality? That he didn't put his City Bakery brand name on them makes me suspicious.
Anything vaguely sweet and fatty just out of an oven should taste pretty darned good. Even that Pillsbury crap tastes ok for the first few secs when hot. This stuff is really bad.
