Will be in Maui for the first time this May. We will be there for two weeks and I was pleased to see that most Maui foodies had positive reviews for the Restautant at the Hotel Wailea, as this will be our home base for 10 nights! I am looking forward to booking the treehouse tasting menu experience.
Looking for foodie favorites for grilled fresh seafood and fresh local veggies. That is our favorite fare especially when on the water ( we live in Park City UT). In general the simpler the better for us, a fresh piece of fish does not need a whole lot to be delicious when prepared right. We love Asian and Mediterranean style cooking. I read the post that had a lot of mixed opinions on Mamas but it seems like you can't go to Maui and not experience that place at least once for yourself and then join that debate afterwards!
Can anyone way in on the best Fish Tacos on the Island? That is typically a lunch fav for us and we prefers ours with grilled fish. Neither of us care for fried foods.
Also looking for good local sushi spots. Not interested in paying over the top prices at Morimotto in Wailea will save that for Nobu at the Four Seasons in Lanai as that is where we will spend the last four nights of our 2 wk trip.
