I'm helping plan a communal seder for synagogue (Temple of Universal Judaism, second night, very progressive, open and diverse Jewish/interfaith community--see us at tuj.org if you'd like to come to the seder...) and need to find the soup and some kind of fish (not gefilte, already got that) reasonably priced, for upwards of 80 people. For insurance reasons, we can't make our own. PJ Bernsteins charged $30 a pound for lox with all the fixings last year, and 7.25 per quart of soup (2 m-balls). I'm thinking we can do better. Ideas? You can email me, if that's better than taking up space here. Thanks!
