We got there at 5:30 and already it was more than half full. We got lucky and got the W.Allen waiter!! As he was telling us about the two specials of the night, he had to pull his note and look it over and I couldn't help my self from laughing. Even the other wait staff were looking at him and laughing!! After we ordered, they served us a very hard, crusty roll. The butter was way too plain and tasteless. We went for the lobster potato skins and the mixed green salad. I liked the skins, but the lobster was a little more cooked than I like. The salad was fine. For mains we got the pan seared scallop and the stripe bass. The scallops came with toasted farro, roasted mushrooms and foie gras sauce. I thought they seared the scallops for too long on one side, liked the roasted mushrooms and would of liked more foie gras sauce. My husband's fish came with roasted squash, mushrooms and mussel fricassee. He liked his fish, but we both chewed on a couple of grains of sand!! For dessert we had the chocolate hazelnut truffle tart with caramelized bananas and brown sugar ice cream. We liked the dessert. Overall,it was a good experience, but not a great one and I wouldn't rush back. They should work on their butter, presentation and washing the shell fish more carefully.
