Mathematically geeky gingerbread "house"

chowser | Dec 18, 2009 04:32 PM

My son wants to make this icosidodecahedron as a project, like a gingerbread house. I think it can be done w/ strong royal frosting. Can you think of any problems with doing it? It won't be too large, I'm thinking of triangles about 2" along the edge.

I think he'd have to do two halves, split along the equator, on a base and then attach to two haves. Any thoughts? Thanks.
