I've been creeping on this board, reading all I can on the restaurant scene in Barcelona.
We'll be there for a four-day trip. I'm really after spots that have a certain neighbourhood, local feel to them...I'm not fixated on high-priced restaurants, rather good food with a good, friendly buzz. I also don't mean a see-and-be-seen type place. Somehow, I like the feeling of walking into a restaurant where the patrons are clearly there often -- it has its own conversation going on, if that makes any sense. I speak Spanish, so no concerns about language barriers.
We are looking at booking an apartment in Gracia, but I would welcome any opinions on where the best neighbourhoods are for easily accessing the best dining.
And also...any opinions on "Tapas Crawls"? The idea seems terrible to me, but I don't want to rule it out of hand.
Thanks very much!
