Anyone ever hit this event? Tony Mantuano's brother and sister (Geno and Sue) run this event every year at Mangia in Kenosha, WI. It will be on June 13th this year. They do two seatings. One at 3 and one at 6 pm. Everything is prix fixed and you get 7 courses. All courses are paired with wine. They invite 4 or 5 other chefs from around the country and they come in and build a menu in which each chef has to make a dish on the grill including the dessert. They set up all these grills outside in the garden area and they cook all day long. It is a great event.
John Hogan (Keefers), Beth Partridge/Dan Pancake (Andiamo- Ohio) and Tony are a few of the chefs that will be out there this year.
They have recruited folks like Rick Bayless, Martial Noguier and Robert McGrath in the past. I am curious to know if anyone else has been to the Master's of the Grill?
