Do you have one?
Some time back I went through the index of all my cookbooks. French/Italian/Asian etc.
I came up with a master shopping list of the ingredients I wanted to always have at hand. It doesn't include my daily visit to the 'shops' to see what's in.
Here it is. Not in any order. That comes next as I want to list things according to where they are in my local store. I always take the same route. In the door. Turn right. Produce first then up and down the aisles to the far left of the store. Funny some stores have the produce at the far left of the store. Deli and bakery first. If anyone has something I'm missing or should have on hand please let me know. I'm sure there are some great foods etc I must be missing. Thanks. Shopping list:
dried rice noodles/pastas
canned fish varieties
sticky/indian basmati rice
light/dark soy/black bean/hoisin/fish sauces
