Massa's in Houston

BW | Mar 20, 2004 02:08 AM

I'm a D.C. chowhound in town for a conference. I didn't see anything about Massa's in a look at the board, but I went anyway for lunch because it was one of the few choices near the downtown Hyatt Regency.

My entree was quite a pleasant surprise. More than that, it was almost a revelation. I don't even like fried oysters all that much, but that's what I ordered and it was a great choice. A dozen plump oysters breaded with cornmeal and fried with no evidence of residual grease -- awesome. I haven't had a lunch this good since I had regular access to Guedo's Taco Shop in Chandler, Arizona.
