Went to Masa in the south end last night....we were partly inspired by Joanie's review (link below) and partly the fact that they are on idine (a discount restaurant program we belong to).

By coincidence we had all the same items other people did -- the shrimp and goat cheese app (accompanying salad was the highlight of this good dish -- the quesadilla itself needed a dash of salt to have the flavor come out) and the calamari app (husband deemed it "good but with too much avocado").

He had the chicken and I had the tuna which came with the BEST potatoes (yukon gold with mushrooms) that I've ever had. The tuna was good (also needed a dash of salt) but I swear I would have been happy with just a big old plate of the potatoes.

We indulged in dessert (3 scoops of ice cream for him and the plantain turnovers for me). Both were quite good.

Service was fantastic. Our waiter was knowledgeable and friendly. He talked us through how to make the potatoes when we requested the recipe.

This rather large amount of food + 4 drinks came to $111 pre-tip, pre-idine discount. We will absolutely return.
