I enjoyed dinner at the new Mary's Fish Shack on W. 4th and Charles. The place is small and laid-back with friendly and gracious service. Even though there was a line waiting for tables, the waitress let me and my friend finish our heart-to-heart chat with out the usual rude your time is up gestures.
We shared a yummy salad and both ordered the red snapper special that was baked in a crust of thinly sliced potatoes with a horseradish sauce. It's a small menu and glancing around the room I noticed a lot of people snarfing down lobster rolls, lobster pot pies and finely julienned crispy fries. Luckily, we saved room for dessert -- a grown-up hot fudge sundae with a very generous amount of dark chocolate hot fudge.
