Maruichi Ramen - Milpitas - (And Kee Wah)

KK and Melanie gave me the heads up about where to go at Milpitas Square. I didn't have a whole lot of time for dinner on Friday so I ended up at Maruichi, a place I've been meaning to try (there is also one in Mountain View), for a quick bowl of ramen. First of all, they take cash only at this branch. I ordered the Option A, which was ramen, three pot stickers, and steamed rice. I ordered tonkotsu broth. The ramen was very mediocre and I would not return. Halu, Santa, Himawari, and Ryowa all surpass it by far. And if I were in Mountain View, I'd bypass Maruichi and go to Ryowa. The pork slices had little flavor and I bit into one only to bite down on a small piece of bone (ouch!) Noodles were very so-so. The potstickers were small, deep-fried, and tasted like frozen ones you'd buy at the grocery store. I really should have gone to one of the Chinese places. Oh, well...

And special thanks to KK for mentioning Kee Wah bakery. Had a delcious piece of green tea cake for 1.00 there.
