Martinis and KK

Nab and I hit the special Mon. espresso martini with a Krispy Kreme donut at the Oak Bar last nite. I guess it's not really a "deal" at $14 and I'm not even a KK fan, but always wanted to try an espresso martini and this seemed like the time to do it. It was quite jumping in that grand ol room, 1/3 to 1/2 getting the donut thing. We were told the donuts come in the morning so there was no super freshness to them but it was fine. You get a tasty martini plus the shaker in a little ice bucket, a nice dish of nuts, a funny waiter and a relaxing time sitting in that great room. Two more Mondays to do it if you're interested.

Started with some real food at the McCormick & Schmick bar since Bonfire was closed for a party and we couldn't get the cheap tacos. So we got the cheap $1.95 happy hour stuff including jalapeno and potato croquettes, cheese quesadilla and Nab got a couple oysters. The croquettes were quite good, had a little bite, quesadilla was no big deal but who's complaining at $1.95? The marguerita was a little pricier than I thought it would be at $7.95 but it cleared up my allergies and that was all I could ask for.
