I have one rule of thumb when it comes to dining out. If there's bread on the menu, get it. Some are better than others, but you know you are getting something special in a town of great free bread basket galore. Well normally at least. Taboon comes to mind as another one with great bread specialties on the menu
This French Loaf is made elsewhere, but finished at the Marshal's wood burning oven. Arrives hot, its crunchy and soft in all the right places and with the homemade butter.. perfection. Probably best bread and butter I've had in NYC. I wouldnt mind having just this for lunch and I def wouldnt mind having this for breakfast. And for those Yelpers complaining that this should be free? Try running your own place one day.
