Had Marotta's pizza for the first time tonight. Yes. This is the best pizza I've had in Cleveland *yet*. (Note the yet--perhaps the best is really yet to come.) Picked up a large, plain (they call it "traditionale") pie. Saw the pizza guy making others with care. Properly chewy crust, spot-on sauce, the right type/amount of cheese. Very New Yorkish-style. If I was to quibble, I might say the crust could have been crispier. But really, I'd have to try it again to make sure.
For comparison's sake: My runner-up Cleveland pizza is Vincenza's, followed by Flour (for fancy pizza).
