Finally managed to get to Maroli. Ordered beef vindaloo, butter chicken, mixed veg curry, dal and some naan. First of all, they serve the best naan I've ever had. It's incredibly flaky -- much less bread-like than other naan I've had. As for the rest... unfortunately, I forgot to specify "spicy" for the dishes, so they came mild. My own fault, but disappointing. The beef vindaloo and the veg curry were my favourites. Flavourful, tender beef and potatoes and a rich, hearty vegetable curry. The butter chicken was tasty, but the chicken pieces had a lot of tendon. And I found the dal was lacking in flavour... though once I mixed it in with the butter chicken sauce, it was great! :) Anyway, good experience, not great. Looking forward to trying it again with the heat turned up.
Quick question -- has anyone eaten at Tandoori House, near Yonge and Sheppard? How does it compare to Cuisine of India?
