I dined there with a friend for lunch and generally had very good experience. There were only 2 choices for each course. We both started with a salad of beets and smoked trout. This was excellent, a nice mixing of flavors and textures that we both enjoyed. For my main course, I had a mushroom risotto. It was exquisitely flavored but the portion size was TINY - maybe 3 or 4 big spoonfuls. Given that rice was the main ingredient here, I don't think it would have broke the bank for them to offer a slightly more generous serving. My friend had a chicken breast with vegetables which I didn't taste but which he liked a lot. It was also more food than the risotto! We both had a chocolate torte with pistachio ice cream. This was to die for. Intensely rich chocolate, crispy on the outside and meltingly delicious inside. Very nice size serving - neither of us could quite finish this one, despite its tastiness!

We enjoyed the very civilized, comfortable surroundings - this is a restaurant where you can go to talk without screaming. The service was good but a bit rushed. Nevertheless, there was no probem when we told our server we needed more time at different stages of the meal. We were charge $8.00 for water which was later removed from the bill; when you ask for water, make sure you say TAP unless you want to pay for it!
